FACULTY

The New Body Electric School Facilitators strive to uphold the ethos and traditions of the work of Body Electric through combining their personal knowledge and expertise with the philosophy of Taoist Eroticism. 


Our Facilitation Team is steeped in passion and enthusiasm for the work that is offered to all individuals.    All workshops whether in-person or online, support the creation of a safe container that supports all participants to have choice around their personal growth and development. 


Facilitators

Dave Allen

Dave Allen is a life coach and a body coach. He believes his life work is to assist men to find success, fulfillment and the ability to live connected, rich, powerful and pleasurable lives, with a special emphasis on their erotic lives.

As a coach, mentor, trainer and workshop facilitator, he honors his beliefs and his values of curiosity, practice, connection, eroticism and synergy in his work. Dave’s inspiration comes from many traditions including power dynamics, mysticism, Tantra, various spiritual paths including Christianity and Native American spirituality.





John Ballew


John R. Ballew, M.S., is a licensed professional counselor in private practice in Atlanta. He specializes in issues related to relationships, intimacy, sexuality, anxiety, depression and work-life balance. He has taught for The Body Electric School for more than 20 years.

Professionally and personally he’s most interested these days in what it means to have a good and meaningful life, particularly in midlife and beyond. He can be reached at his website, www.bodymindsoul.org.



Collin Brown

Collin Brown is a teacher, life coach and spiritual counselor who has developed and facilitated experiential learning courses for 30 years.
A graduate of Harvard College, he served as the director of The Body Electric School for 15 years and created the Wildwood Conservation Foundation in 1999, which owns and operates the Wildwood Retreat Center. His private practice, based in Port Townsend, WA, includes clients from around the globe.





Craig Cullinane



Craig Cullinane is the Director of the Body Electric School and has served on the Body Electric faculty for more than 7 years. His passion is to support people in living their most beautiful lives by practicing intimacy and connection while tapping sources of creativity and inspiration.

For 6 years, Craig was the Director of Programming for Rehabilitation Through The Arts (RTA), inviting incarcerated people into a process of growth and healing through artistic expression. Craig holds a Master’s degree in Service, Leadership, and Management from the SIT Graduate Institute.



Mark Fleming



Mark Fleming has been a Sacred Intimate since 1992. His Seattle-based private practice weaves Tantra, subtle energy work and neo-shamanic practices to assist people towards Conscious Erotic Embodiment.

He is fascinated with the intersections of sexuality and spirituality. He has studied classical and neo-Tantra for twenty years, primarily with Swami Ravi Rudra Bharati (Rudolph Ballentine.) He is passionate about justice, poetry, meditation and touch.




Andrew Lawler


Andrew Lawler is a writer and teacher who has been involved with Body Electric for more than a decade.

An alumnus of Rudy Ballentine’s Tantra teacher training course, he has organized and taught workshops in the Northeast. He also maintains a sacred intimate practice.






William McMeniman


William McMeniman is a massage therapist and Sacred Intimate with a private practice in the greater Boston area. He has a background in mental health, education and breathwork.

He seeks to integrate the ecstatic path into everyday life through his teaching.






Steve Schwartzberg


Steve Schwartzberg has been a facilitator with Body Electric since 2006, and a practitioner with the school since 1999. In addition to his work as an erotic healer, sacred intimate, and educator, Steve is also a serious meditator, writer, and global wanderer.

Steve holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, has published numerous books and articles, and spent 15 years on the adjunct faculty of Harvard Medical School.




Emaya Shaw


Emaya (Elfi) Dillon has practiced and taught integrative body and breath work, movement meditation and conscious touch for thirty years.

Her desire is to co-create a world of erotic enthusiasm and sexual literacy combined with kindness and spiritual knowing. Her passion is to advocate for an awakened relationship with the triune body of Self, Community and Nature. Her primary devotion belongs to the great mystery that lays in the dynamic ground of our lives.

She invites us to cultivate curiosity, grow courageous hearts and to celebrate our diverse expressions of pleasure. She is presently engaged in mentoring and supporting others in teaching erotic circles.

She joined the faculty of the Body Electric School in 2000.

Michael Cohen


Michael Cohen works as a personal life coach and as a gestalt psychotherapist in New York City.

A Body Electric-trained Sacred Intimate, his interests also include exploring the healing power of play and helping people create meaningful lives.
